Han Yang is a PhD candidate from the Department of Film Studies at the Beijing Film Academy, and is currently a visiting doctoral student/research intern at Concordia University. His research interests include film and the archive, film preservation and restoration, film curation, and film history. His current research focuses on the archival dynamics of orphan films, examining how they shape the writing and representation of the past across different historical dimensions.
